thursday, may 8th
our scene went ok. our ta made me and phil act like animals... dang, we did so many exercises! (i want to go/ i want you to stay...) but our first take went pretty well. i spent a good amount of my free time after playing with a newly born red admiral butterfly. i kept trying to get it to trust me and sit on my finger.. fiesty lil fella. :) hmm, i attended an asian film festival where they were showing "Together".. a journey of a man and his extremely gifted son who plays the violin... it took me so long to pack for home... i don't know why...
friday may 9th
left for oakland airport by ways of minh (thanky thanky) and hung out with my dad and lil sis ingha... spent the night doing nothing really... flight was nice... lost my driver's license though...
sat may 10th
costco with rowena's two bebes. before i knew it it was time for the fashion show that ingha and amelia were in... later that night my father and i hung out at elephant bar...
sun may 11th
mother's day and my birthday.. i was a little discouraged that only a few family members could represent, but i was very enlightened to see each and every one! hahahaa, i had such a limited amount of people to call. out of that handful, a few were gone so i invited their parents instead... :) so besides family there was leo, donald, jiwon, and anthony all blowing bubbles in my backyard and trying to figure out how to create huge ones...:) later that night i talked to jiwon for a long time. :)
mon may 12th
saw the dentist at tanforan.. kinda shadey at the mall, wouldn't you say?... and target and... old navy's and fry's... all with jiwon of course. i barely made it in time for my flight. it all felt so soon. grateful for phuc's pick up at the airport. not grateful for his comments, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion...everyone got me presents... i was taken off guard. how sweet... but i really don't need material gifts.. i just want their friendship... even that can be a task... i got a lot of kitchen stuff.. hehehe. am i getting old or what?!?!
tuesday may 13th
played theater games all class time. :) slept for an hourish.. ran... saw the im game... attended a potluck for unicamp.... ate too much!!!
wedesday may 14th
work. bought sam woo's for the office to celebrate... eileen made me a cake!!?!? vicki brought me the most georgeous flowers i have ever seen.. ralphs... unicamp meeting... sawtelle.... chatted with elaine for a while :)
today...
i dont' know if i want to move back home.. i feel like i should stay here. i dont' know why. i feel more complete here. the only thing that brings me a surreal feeling of happiness right now in the bay area is taking care of rowena's children.. and maybe the thought of pursuing dance classes with jiwon's mom... other than that.. i need to figure out what i want to do. i saw the matrix reloaded today and it wasn't what i expected. sort of a high tech brave new world... with super powers.... one of shaena's friends was telling me about how he double majored and is now at ucla law. why can't i be motivated like that? what's holding me back? i'm very tempted to be a starving artist like mary thinks she will be. i don't know what my true passion is. i think it is in helping others. i find myself doing a lot of things alone... i suppose there is no other way. no one seems to think like me. everyone seems to think they can read me as easily as this fucking blog.
after theater, ran with elaine, farmer's market, and home... saw friends season finale and then the matrix... i waited so long for this lunar eclipse to just miss it. maybe i should just subscribe to discovery magazine.. it is so me. i wish i could do something in that field.. hmm...
