i didn't have access to a computer for awhile
and now i don't remember things exactly. ;) oh wells. i did go to a bunch of places.. mostly museums.
**american museum of natural history- dinosaurs!!! and lots of culture exhibits
**solomon guggenheim- so many famous paintings... i even saw this painting by klee that my painting teacher made us replicate as a project.. very, very nice (picasso, pollock, klee, van gogh...)
**dumb 2 hour cruise around the hudson river. ok, it was sunny considering hurricane isabelle was coming, and it is kinda relaxing.. but money is better spent elsewhere...
**metropolitan museum- superb! ;) hehehe.. can't not laugh when saying that word.. medieval stuff, european paintings, american paintings, arms and armor!!!, greek stuff, sculptures, great architecture, etc...
all this art really made me want to paint again.. i crave it, yet i dread the clean up... but it wasn't so bad when i was in the class... 4 hours twice didn't even seem like enough time.... we had to come in on our own time to finish up. i need to take classes in order to learn how to maneuver oil paint, pastels, gouache, and watercolor.. at least i get acrylic.. they don't seem to be all that similar, but we'll see...
i did do a lot of shopping at H&M... for me and ingha. i'm so lame though.. i bought this LOTR set of 5 figures and a bunch of star wars figures... i just kept thinking, "these are hard to get" but it's not like they're worth a heck of a lot. ::sigh:: me and my obsession
