inland invasion
i forgot why i didn't like going to overcrowded, overheated, overpriced all day concerts... until now. i'd have to argue that it was worth it to see such great bands, but at the same time... it's hard to say where i would draw the line...
the best band by far was duran duran. i never thought i'd get a chance to see them in concert.. very great live.. :) the cure was supposed to be the highlight, but i think too many new songs were played and not enough that were popular... it was so sad..! people were leaving during that set.. over half the stadium! i totally missed dramarama b/c they were on the side stage and we came late.. also.. lynn's care seriously overheated on the way to westwood and her radiator freakin cracked. crazy stuff... man oh man.. they had great philly cheesesteak sandwiches. mmmmmm....
the family guy is on.. and they have hilarious stuff... hehehe... every episode is filled with great references.. the computer commercial referring to orwell's 1984, narnia, burt and ernie, and just plain funny stuff..
PLAYOFFS
so the dodgers-giants game on sunday was pretty fun even if they game wasn't deciding anything... the giants did lose... i can't believe three dodgers in a row all made homeruns... a lot of people didn't play.. bonds, santiago...
after the game we set off for mini golf (it was so fun!) and then batting cages... even miyage's for sushi.. a lot better stuff than i thought.
