interesting...
... to say the least. so today's interview at lockheed was smashing. i think the only real question they asked me was "so we've been talking a lot, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?" that was it. they were pretty much determining if i was right for the job, but mainly i felt they were selling it to me. it turns out to be a pretty well paid grudge work job with many opportuinites for growth and future contacts. so far everyone i've talked to i've liked a lot. and i mean everyone. i don't know how i got so lucky in the job world so far. (knock on wood) i've never had this much real success at a job fair before.
also, rich and i hung out before dropping him off to jane's so they could go running. we found this used book store. i found two long boxes of comics and went to work. i know i'm a schmutz b/c i actually paid $10 for a 1985 x-men comic that featured lady deathstrike (yuriko) going through an operation similar to wolverines (logan) wolverine was on the cover. tight. tight as robin hood's pants, no doubt. i bought a few others... as well as... DUN DUN DUN... charlie brown's encyclopedia. i learned a lot from it as a kid and i was feeling nostalgic.. does anybody feel that also? :) on a side note, my mother was packing all my toys into plastic storage boxes... i felt like i have so many, but i feel like i want more... is anyone as obssessed as me?!?!
oh yeah... i caught the tail of "the last starfighter" tonight!
Mon - Wed
i was at my uncle's house in vallejo. we went to sacramento and visited thunder valley, but b/c i don't gamble, i only paid $5 for a venti mocha malt frap. it ws fun though! jonathon is actually talking a lot now! he understands a lot and is a whole lot more fun to be around. jeannette is getting quite rotund at three months.
the next day (tuesday) was spent sleeping in front of the tv with uncle willy on one sofa and me on the other. the new bridge opened up and was causing INSANE traffic so i had to take detour to get to korina's in berkeley. we had a blast though b/c i found out about the interview and we read up a lot at barnes and noble. then we hung out for a bit with some Berkeley APO. (Altinaac's apt)
Wed was a lil more hectic. had a little tiff at home. le sigh. i love them, but i think i really should move away for my own sanity. i felt like i should move home to help out, but i think it is driving me crazy! we'll see.
