this weekend was quite lovely
we had a family party yesterday... sort of a surprise birthday for my sisters. got those simpsons blockos from toys r us to decorate the cake with (on sale for ~$13) they're the silliest little figurines that come with detachable hair and appendages. each one has special accessories too. bart becomes bartman, lisa has a saxa-ma-phone, homer has that green nuclear stick and prongs, apu has a wedding turban. :) what i really want for amelia is the set of simpsons mini bobble heads. hehehe.
last night after the party, rich, jane, delia, wayne, and i went clubbing. we finally found this one tiny asian party where i ran into a few people i knew from high school. peter, jihoon, and linda. i used to hang out with peter a lot until he joined a frat and got a girlfriend. jihoon seems to be the same ol... well, you'd have to meet him. the weird part was that linda used to go out with rich... so there was definitely some weird vibes that night. but all in all we had a smashing time with tons of dancing with strangers. i somehow got jane to dance with this one dude she was crushing on. ;) so... i slept really, really late. a phone call woke me up at noon the next day, but i dozed off soon after only to blink and realize that it's 4 in the afternoon. i totally missed the sunlight. :( i love the breath of a fresh new day, but sometimes i guess... i dunno. that has to be the latest i've ever gotten up when there really was no reason. no school or anything. i did feel a bit under the weather so i might have been fighting of a cold with all that extra sleep time. i normally sleep late, but as i speak it is roughly 3am. i start work next monday.. we have orientation at 7:30am. grrr. and i have a commute of something like 45 minutes?!? we'll see.
