hmmm, let's see... went to the giants game with matt chen last wednesday... total bust.. they always lose when i'm there. friday usher concert at oakland coliseum, sunday linkin park played (w/ less than jake, the used, snoop, and korn) at shoreline amphitheater... monday i did some shopping and went to work for 3 hours...

i actually went to fry's to pick up some ish... both friday at lunch and monday. i got a blue tooth adapter for my computer to wirelessly connect it to my cellphone (tight!), a 2.0 USB card reader (although the data transfer is faster, my older one has a cord that folds out of it's body and it comes with a little pouch... ), a 2.0 USB / firewire card for my desktop (2 ports each), and a cd case... i dont' know why, but i was so excited and happy.
Thought Matt (yes you aussie painter you!) might like to read about this...
monday i went to michaels and used a 50% off coupon to get a badger cyclone II (180-11) airbrush compressor. i had my choice b/t that and something a lot cheaper.. i chose the cyclone b/c not only did i have that oh-so-nifty coupon, the cyclone also featured automatic shut off.. meaning everytime i depressed the trigger on my airbrush the compressor would stop and idle.. hehehe, then get this.. tuesday i went back for the actual airbrush with the 40% coupon from the same ad. unfortunately the prices were kinda hefty. i did a little reasearch online and found that michaels was horribly overpriced.. but with the coupon i still saved at least $100 dollars on the compressor. i'll have to put up a website with these specifications. there really isn't much in terms of airbrush reviews. i did post on airbrush.com's forum on badger crescendo (comes with 3 tips) vs anthem(two tips in one) i have yet to try out my new baby.. i know it's junk to some people, but it's gold to me... been wanting one since 5th grade catholic school when my teacher mr catchiotti (sp?) brought in his airbrush for show and tell..
hahaha, actually a lot did happen this weekend i suppose. sat i ran into an old friend, joey kwan from jr high and hs. we hung out a bit and i met most of his crew. sunday during the day i went to the Millbrae art and wine festival with my parents (after mass at st dunstans) All I really bought were 3 air plants, two are blooming!. (QUICK AND USELESS FACT: airplants are actually part of the bromeliad family... their leaves act as roots, absorbing nutrients and water while the physical roots only serve as anchors... )

hehehe, this is totally random also, but.. I purchased 500 super worms from americancricketranch.com for 10.99 plus shipping.. i ordered late afternoon monday and they arrived thursday.. my roommate christophe picked up the package not noticing that it was covered in ants until he felt them crawl all over his arms.. hehehe.. ick.. i can stand those zophobas morio worms, but not ants.. they crawl on you! icky! the nice thing about the worms is that almost none were dead on arrival. a grip did die over the course of the weekend though.. i dont' know if it's b/c i didn't provide an adequate food source or b/c of the rapid change in temperature in this indian summer heat. i wanted the superworm bedding/feed from cricketfeed.com, but it seemed too expensive to buy and ship... :( but i think i'll have to.. i've been meaning to get the chicken mash from a nearby feed store, but feed stores don''t seem to readily available in non farm country. there is one in san bruno, but i couldn't make it today.. looks like i'll have to make it up to churro with the next batch of worms... anyhow.. churro's been pretty content lately, but he hasnt' been eating the iguana salad i sooo carefully prepared for him. le sigh...
i just came back from the a's game vs red sox.. we suck. boston beat oakland 8 -3. :( the good news it that isiah and nana came and had a really great time.. :)
til next time.. going camping this weekend :) softball game tomorrow, comedy night for matt's bday and then "car camping" this weekend.. .. i kinda need a new job. things are looking up :)
