april 27th we went to a nine inch nail concert. i was pretty stoked about it but i didn't know it would be that much fun. it was so much fun in fact, i'ts been two weeks and i'm still writing about it. me, tina, sue, and i stood in the throng of moshy admirers. le sigh. i didn't know how much i loved trent until that concert. so hot. hahahah. even though my uncle's like "they use drugs". (he works in the industry). but yeah,the concert was awesome. lynnable and i saw a pick fly into the air. she let me have it b/c i gave her the ticket, but i still felt bad b/c the pick meant so much to me and she was just letting me have it. the sweetie also gave me my first present like 2 weeks early b/c she knew she wouldn't be able to see me. *hug.
my friend planned the best oyster trip ever. i made a few of the sauces listed on the hog island oyster website and they turned out pretty good. my mom tagged along and was more fun than i thought she would be ;) we sent jimmie and steve to get more meat when we saw that others were having a tasty cookoff and all we had were oyster. actually pretty much everyone became an oyster shucking expert. you just place the knife at the joint and work that one spot until it gives. pretty sweet! after that day fun we had dinner in millbrae of all places where we ran into my long lost relative, a guy with 6 fingers on one hand. i ended the night with an outing with viv and her posse of homeboys. hahaha, wayne played the part of gentleman and let me pick him up so he could walk me to the club safely even though he knew he might have to pay to get in again. plus, he paid my clubbing fee"for my birthday" early as it was. in fact, viv and i share the same birthday. i never really noticed before but she is a year older than me. anyhoo, the honey made sure i had a great time as well at the ken oak cd party. she made sure i had enough to drink and that one of her posse drove me home with her in the front seat :) i had such a blast that day!
work is really good. all we ever do is talk about cool stuff. hopefully i pick it up fast enough to learn a lot and contribute as much as i can.
today was an awesome birthday, class, work, sooo many people calling me, and i even got a rocket balloon bouquet as well as mini roses. hahaha, the rocket was the best, i was so embarrassed.. takes really good friends to embarrass you to those lengths. tomorrow i'm going out to eat with coworkers and friday night we're all heading to miyakes and then f&a's if anyone wants to join, i do have a guest list going there. i brought in donuts to work and to class like i was in kindergarden. my philosophy is to always be young at heart, which a lot of people miscontrue as immature, random shit. i just want thing sto flow and i want things to be silly and that's just how i feel like should be b/c it's so freakin short. i don't like drama b/c i don't have time for it. i just worry too much about what people think, i guess i'll have to stop doing that. other things i've worked on: i've gotten pretty good at confronting some people at work and i'm still working on cutting people out of my life that i don't think benefits us in the end, or more precisely, benefits me. i've had friends that eat holes into my heart without knowing it. i just need to let things go. hehe, even my father tells me that.
another highlight besides balloons and my family calling from all corners of the world, i didn't really have anything planned for my actual bday so i tried to convince people to go to st johns so i wouldn't be so lonely the day of. i had fun, but i still came home feeling like i wanted to see a movie and drink beer with someone, but everyone's so busy and i don't know how to ask for that. it has to be the right person too with no agenda. but yeah, i'm pretty busy too so we'll just leave it as that.
lets see, on the plants plane, i'm trying to reroot 6 new african violet plants. they're so cute! one has violet coloring with white trim on the petals and i just found a white plant with violet edges. i've planted strawberries, more herbs and my dahlias are coming up in hot pink!!! i think my salad is ready to eat and my herbs are getting there.
churro's doing just fine too.. might have to put in an order of superworms soon though...

hey girlie, i'm SO sorry i couldn't be there for ur bday. u know i woulda been there for the beer and movies in a heartbeat if i was in town. NIN and oysters were fun times!! love always, tj
