stress = ice cream
lately i've been feeling really stressed. this school, work, boyfriend combo can get kinda stressing sometimes, timewise and emotional-wise. i just wish i did the school thing earlier. i would almost be done by now. ok, maybe not, i might've pursued another degree in addition to a masters like an MBA or that optics degree that just came out.le sigh. i think i'm just one of those people that just feel like they have to speed through life. every once in awhiles i'll stop to admire a rainbow or my orchids or crap, i just remembered, i have to feed my bearded dragon! sigh. anyhoo, the only time i really take a break is when i'm trying to construct something through art, be it something dorky like a scrapbook, artsy fartsy like a painting or photography (i really need a new camera since that snowboarder ran over my canon & i would lovve to save enough for a digital slr by the end of the year...dreams...)
i find myself with my limited time looking for unusual plants. i try to search for carniverous plants, mimicry cacti, and out of the ordinary (healthy) orchids at trader joes. i know it sounds weird, but that's how i squeeze in my me time. i could save money by just finding an arboretum and visiting and taking pictures... that could help. but a few flowers/plants in my room always cheers me up.
the other stuff i try to squeeze in is r&r time, esp sleeeeeep. r&r time usually cmoes in the form of lying on the sofa watching my scrubs, family guy, or sex and the city dvds, sometimes while i'm eating dinner.
basketball's been pretty good. esp since i haven't played much since the rain began. the church league is pretty fun so far too... steven with his two assists to his honey.
