KAUAI!!!
Sue and i just arrived in kauai today.. and already so much has happened. turns out to be an all day trip just trying to get here.a few major points:
- we ran into pierce brosnan at the oahu airport, apparently he has a vacation home here.
- i thought i lost my wallet. while frantically trying to call credit card companies, a hawaiian air agent figures out what flight we're on and fetches us to go get it from the original agent who found it on the plane from san jose to oahu. all the money was there. she wouldn't take any money either.
- i swear we got paged like 3 separate times. by the end of it agents were like "i head something about a wallet..." or "she's finally here, i've been paging you all day!!"
- while talking to a citibank rep, he tells me he'll waive the fee and overnight a card to hawaii for free
- while checking into the lobby at resortquest kauai beach at makaiwa, the lady decides she's in a good mood so she upgrades our room to a pseudo ocean view with vaulted ceilings and gives us the coupon for buy one get one free luau.
a few cons: - it took alllll day to get here
- sue seems to be really sick and had a fever and chills on the flight from oahu to kauai
- didn't get much sleep last night, boo
anyways, the ocean is beautiful. i'm going to try to wake up early and run tomorrow... and then do hw. :)
