Singapore Air

i forgot how draining plane rides can be, or traveling in general. it's supposed to be a vacation, but i always feel like i need a vacation from my vacation. from sf to hk to singapore i had the same kid behind me repeated dropping his tray and kicking my seat. i told him to settle down once, but during the 10 hours.. i guess he just kept forgetting. the food on singapore air isn't that bad. the orange juice is pretty good and they even serve beer for free if you don't mind it lukewarm.

i was here at this airport a little more than a year ago, but it still feels like yesterday. the beautiful koi pond surrounded by a multitude of orchids... the cafe where i spent hours watching scrubs on my dell 700m until the battery died. these free 15 min internet kiosks.

everytime i travel everything feels so surreal. like i'm not really there, like it hasn't hit me yet. it's kind of a nice cloud nine though.. .feels like an escape at the most. mayyybe not an escape from responsibilities. while reading an article, one of the words spurred me to think about errands i had to do when i got back and i promptly pulled out a large post it and made a list of everything i need to do once i get home in order to feel at peace again. you know, that nagging feeling in your heart that you get when you have things to do and they just keep piling up? well, one step at a time and everything's ok.

hmm, i did watch a million movies on the plane. i love on demand. i saw music and lyrics with drew barrymore and hugh grant, talledega nights- the ballad of ricky bobby with sasha cohen and will ferrell, and most of the namesake- i can't remember the actor's name, he's the one from harold and kumar go to white castle.

the movies definitely made the time go by faster. i counted my hours down by movies and they're calling me, i have to go.
